PMI. Pabrik tersebut merupakan relokasi dari pabrik AC inverter dari Malaysia,” kata Menteri Perindustrian Menperin Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita dalam sambutannya secara virtual pada acara Produksi Perdana Produk AC inverter tersebut, Selasa. Menperin menjelaskan, relokasi pabrik tersebut merupakan salah satu langkah yang strategis dalam pencapaian program substitusi impor 35 persen dan pendalaman struktur industri, khususnya untuk produk AC. Tingginya nilai impor AC juga menjadi perhatian Kemenperin. Sejalan dengan program substitusi impor 35 persen dan Program Peningkatan Penggunaan Produksi Dalam Negeri P3DN, Kemenperin akan berupaya dan mendorong Kementerian/Lembaga terkait serta para stakeholder agar pangsa pasar produk AC dapat didominasi hasil produksi dalam negeri. “Kami juga meminta agar para produsen AC lainnya menangkap peluang ini untuk dapat berproduksi di Indonesia,” kata Agus. Agus menambahkan, fasilitas produksi AC yang dimiliki oleh PT PMI merupakan salah satu upaya pendalaman struktur industri elektronik. Nilai Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri TKDN produk AC yang mencapai 40 persen menunjukkan bahwa sebagian komponen telah diproduksi oleh PT. PMI di dalam negeri. “Saya melihat PT PMI dapat meningkatkan investasi, terutama untuk sektor komponen AC yang belum diproduksi di dalam negeri, salah satunya produk compressor,” katanya. Menperin mengatakan ini merupakan waktu bagi pemerintah untuk menetapkan threshold TKDN produk elektronika sebagai syarat edar produk. “Hal ini perlu dikaji karena dapat memberikan dukungan dan juga keyakinan bagi calon investor dan industri yang akan merelokasi pabrik ke Indonesia, agar produknya dapat diserap oleh pasar dalam negeri,” katanya. Menperin juga memberikan apresiasi kepada PT PMI atas dukungannya terhadap upaya pendalaman struktur industri elektronika dengan terus berinovasi dan menambah lini produk yang mampu mengisi pasar lokal maupun internasional. “Partisipasi dan kontribusi bukan hanya dilihat dari berapa besar investasi tapi dilihat dari pembukaan pasar ekspor yang dihasilkan. Selain itu, dari pendalaman struktur yang juga melibatkan Industri Kecil Menengah IKM. Juga dapat dilihat dari relokasi seperti yang kita saksikan hari ini, yaitu relokasi AC inverter dari Malaysia,” kata Menperin. Direktur Jenderal Industri Logam, Mesin, Alat Transportasi dan Elektronika ILMATE Taufiek Bawazier menjelaskan, pasar produk AC di Indonesia mencapai sekitar 1,8 Juta set per tahun. Jumlah ini akan terus bertambah seiring dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan masyarakat. “Namun, saat ini suplai dari produsen dalam negeri masih sekitar 20 persen. Oleh karena itu, perbedaan antara supply dan demand ini dapat dijadikan peluang oleh produsen-produsen AC untuk dapat melakukan proses produksi di Indonesia,” ujarnya. Data menunjukkan, impor produk AC tergolong besar, yakni 0,33 miliar dolar AS pada 2020, turun 19 persen dibandingkan impor 2019 sebesar 0,41 miliar dolar AS. Namun, data impor pada kuartal III-2021 menunjukkan bahwa impor produk AC kembali mengalami kenaikan sebesar 36,8 persen dari 0,29 miliar dolar AS periode yang sama tahun sebelumnya menjadi 0,398 miliar dolar AS. Di sisi lain, ekspor produk AC juga mengalami kenaikan sebesar 136,5 persen pada kuartal III-2021 dibandingkan kuartal III-2020.
